Eager to get photos of you from Ikkicon 2007 online?

Well, I just randomly go through and work on files. I realize that doesn't work for a lot of you and leaves you guessing. Me too. And I want to help.

So, I've set up a gallery where you can browse through over 3,000 thumbnails (the links to the larger images don't work) taken at Ikkicon. Find yourself and email me with one of the file numbers, such as 070204_0999 and I'll put you next in line to work on, cosplayers that don't have any photos online will have priority. This doesn't guarantee I'll work on that specific image (I'll probably work on the one that I consider the best of the bunch), but I'll get something online as soon as possible.

Please don't make requests for other cosplayers' photos that you'd just like to see on line. I'll only honor requests for images of yourself.

Hopefully, through this process, I'll get to know the local cosplay community better and gain a better understanding of how I can serve you more efficiently.

And a big request. Please don't keep score of how many photos I take of one cosplayer vs. another (yes, there are people who do) or try to analyze me by the photos I take. I can give you dozens of explanations/excusses. I take photos because it's a fun hobby for me. If I had to keep a running tally, it would become a chore.

More reasons why there might be more or less photos of a cosplayer:

• Outstanding costume worthy of extra effort
• Prominent cosplayer worthy of extra effort
• I may owe some personal debt of gratitude to the cosplayer (supporting an event, standing up for me, whatever)
• Making up for missing the the cosplayer at a previous convention
• New cosplayer that show lots of promise
• Working with a new cosplayer and allowing them to get comfortable with me.
• Challenging lighting conditions
• Challenging costume colors
• Too many distractions in the background
• Good poser, got it right in a minimal number of shots
• Good poser, just kept going
• Bad pose, no point in continuing
• Bad pose, but worth the effort
• "Bracketing", shooting the same shot at different exposures
• Bracketing, shooting some with and without the flash
• Bracketing, shooting at different color balances
• Cosplay groups, with groups I rarely take as many photos when I take individual photos
• Time of day, early mornings are usually slow, I'm just filling my time when it's less crowded.
• False color representation on my camera's lcd might throw me off.
• Maybe I just needed to experiment

I guess I'm going to have to make another big request. I consider two photos of every costume ideal. I don't always meet my ideals. Please be considerate of your fellow cosplayers and me. Don't ask for "All of them" or "All of them for your WHOLE group". Somebody actually did. If you do decide you nobody else matters and you want them all... I might decide to honor your request, but let the rest of the world know what/who the hold up is. Not good. Or I might decide you and your group go last. Not good, but maybe not as bad.
